This is a question that is often discussed among Spankos – if you were spanked growing up, does that make you more likely to enjoy spanking play as an adult? Of course it would be difficult to get the government to fund a study like this, though I’d volunteer to document it if they did.
Some believe that when children are spanked, a spanko is being created. Some believe there is no correlation. The interviews on Spanked Sweeties are enlightining and if you watch enough of them, it could appear as if it does – as most of those interviewed were spanked as children and enjoy spanking now. But of course Clare Fonda doesn’t interview the millions of people who were most likely spanked as children and do not enjoy spanking of any kind as adults.
Still, it makes for an interesting discussion. And Veronica Ricci, the current model appearing on Spanked Sweeties says she does enjoy spanking, though she doesn’t get much of it in her daily life. I’m sure she’d be surprised to find out how many volunteers there would be to spank her. Her interview was pretty outstanding. All in the name of science.

We shot with Penthouse Pet Veronica Ricci this week and I must say she instantly became one of my favorites. She is sweet, funny, kind and stunningly beautiful with a curvy bottom. She is now up on Girl Spanks Girl, and will debut on Spanked Sweeties this Monday.
She had never shot a spanking scene before, but was spanked growing up and she says she enjoys spanking and hopes to have more of it in her life. Her bottom turned SO RED from even the first spanking that Clare gave her, and she left the shoot very marked. But she said she was fine with that, she expected it, and will wear her marks with pride.
This is SO rare to hear from a model, especially one with as much success that Veronica has achieved. She was the runner up Penthouse Playmate of the Year for 2010, and has been featured on Howard Stern, has appeared in feature films, etc. I plan to blog some more about Veronica (you can follow her on twitter) later this week.

Okay I have blogged about the risks of spanking in hotels. But that is nothing compated to filming outside in the city, where not only can you be heard, but seen.
We did just that recently for a Clips4Sale scene when Clare Fonda spanked Alexis Grace in her front yard, for the entire neighborhood to see and hear. And if you have ever watched Alexis Grace in a scene, you know that she is LOOOOUUUUUDDDD. She is not a heavy player, but she will take what the spanker gives. And for her, it hurts. A lot. So she screams.
Clare bent her over her old, damaged car and gave her a sound spanking over the skirt, and pantyhose. Alexis screamed so loud that the neighborhood dogs started barking.
I actually was the one who suggested the car/insurance angle when Clare mentioned shooting outside, because I knew that Clare might have a few reservations about spanking someone hard outside. Realizing how upset she has been with how her insurance company has handled her claim, I thought that if Clare could channel some of that anger she has with the insurance agency, it would be a realisitc, and hard scene. And that is exactly what it was.
After the shoot, I gave Alexis a ride home. She was bruised and having trouble sitting and wondered why Clare spanked her harder this time than the last time we shot with her. When I told her about the insurance angle, she laughed. Lucky for us, Alexis has a great sense of humor. She was happy to deliver a realistic scene. I looked up the history of the hairbrush and no one can pinpoint when it was first used, though it is theorized that hairbrushes were used thousands of years BC. Well the theory is that the hairbrush was used on hair. No one can really say when the first frustrated mother decided her hand was not punishment enough while spanking her naughty daughter and so she yanked out he implement she was using to brush her hair and whacked the poor girl’s bottom with it.
As far as shooting spanking scenes with a hairbrush, it can be trickier than you think. The thing about the hairbrush is that it can really, really sting even when it is not be used at full force. The problem with this is that it doesn’t make that loud sound you want, so it doesn’t look too hard, but the girl is still going crazy fighting the pain. But when you find a model who can take a hard spanking, and the spanker whacks hard enough to make that crisp, echo-y sound when the brush meets the bottom at full force, then you meet success.
A good example of the successful hairbrush scene is now up on My Spanking Roommate. Chloe Elise is spanking Kailee with a hairbrush. Kailee can take it hard, Chloe can deliver with a brush, so it works.

Shooting in a hotel always holds a few extra risks than shooting in most other places. For one thing, someone is paying for the hotel and has given his or her credit card info to the front desk. So if someone complains about strange noises, it can lead to some odd predicaments.
A couple of years ago, there was a Clare Fonda shoot in which somone complained to the front desk and a hotel worker knocked on the door asking for us “to keep it down.” Fortunately, this guy didn’t come into the room or he would’ve seen movie lights and FOUR NAKED WOMEN. Clare talked to him for about 5 minutes before he finally went away.
A recent shoot, which is now up on Spanked Call Girls features Ten and Alicia Panettiere, along with Clare Fonda. It brought back memories of this hotel bust because the talent was especially loud – with hard spanking and screaming. A couple of times the girls went out in the hallway, dressed in “hooker” outfits.
And there was plenty of loud talking from a bunch of dudes watching some sporting event (with their hotel door open) across the hallway. But somehow, we made it through the entire shoot without getting a call or visit from the hotel management. Just the risks we take to provide you all with the best spanking entertainment.

How valuable are tears in a spanking video? No, I don’t mean my tears over another psycho ex-boyfriend stomping around the set. I mean, of course, how valuable is it when the lady being spanked starts crying?
The first time a model started crying when I was filming (which was some time ago), I turned off the camera, thinking that something was wrong. It was for Clare, who also wanted to cut. You feel intrusive. But many models have explained that they are okay with being filmed crying. That it is part of their package as a model . So after years of filming spanking scenes, I realize that sometimes crying is a part of what a model brings to the table.
The latest sweeties up on Spanked Sweeties is Lynn Leona. She could not take a very hard spanking. In fact, a very mild spanking brought her to tears. Real, streaming down the face, and in one of her spankings, snot dripping out of the nose crying. Does it make the scene work? I don’t know, for some it will, for others crying (real crying like this) may be a turn off.
At least I have learned to keep rolling when the crying begins.

One nearly sure way to access most booties (including non-spankos) has been the excellent tradition of the birthday spanking. Talk to almost anyone, from an uptight teacher to a lawyer to a fast food worker to a porn star, and nearly all will know what a birthday spanking is, and most will have some experience with them.
Talking to models behind the scenes, you can ask them about their experiences with a birthday spanking and that will almost always lead to some wildy entertaining story.
In honor of Kay Richard’s recent birthday, we shot an extended birthday spanking episode on My Spanking Roommate, which is now running. She gets spanked with a yardstick in her boss’s office, then comes home to get spanked by her ex girlfriend in her apartment. Then in her bedroom, she is spanked by the maid. Lots of coutning, messing up the count, starting over, etc.
In this episode, the spanking at work and the spanking by the maid might be fantasies, but my best guess is that most birthday spankings happend between boyfriends and girlfriends. So Kay’s ex-girlfriend (played by Ariel X) gives her what came across as a very real spanking between two friends.
When I was in high school, I remember a girl I liked daring me to give her a birthday spanking. Of course, I obliged. Perhaps that experience shaped my interests for the rest of my life. Who knows?

Okay for a looong time I have been looking for a way to videotape some modles as they do their paper work after a spanking shoot. Sometimes it’s not that interesting as they talk about dates, pets, clothes, etc.
But sometimes it would be priceless footage, as they talk (unsolicited) about how sore their bottom is, how they can’t sit down – and many ask me to take a shot of their butt – in close up – with their phone – so they can send this photo to someone.
I’m not sure where this footage would go in terms which appropriate website, and it generally happens while I am putting away my camera and lights, so I have often missed this opportunity. And the few times I raced to get my camera so I could get some video, the models would stop talking. And usually give me a funny look (which I interpret as “hey bozo, we did the shoot already, put that camera away).
So if this is to work, and I am to capture this unsolicited talk about the spanking the models just got, it has to by on the sly, is my conclusion.

While these three did their paperwork, they talked a little about spanking, and as you can see, Mary Jane (back to the camera) is the one who was not sitting on her bottom, as perhaps she felt a little more tender than the other two. Until I figure out exactly how to capture these golden behind-the-scenes coversations, this photo will have to hold you over.

Just finished watching the Oscars – not any surprises. And while at least one film I know of got nominated included a spanking scene (TRUE GRIT), none of Clare Fonda’s films got nominated.
Too bad PARIS IS BURNING was actually shot some time ago, but is now available on Girl Spanks Girl, since maybe it would’ve won some award. It was one of the first scenes we ever shot with Paris – I believe she was only 18 at the time. This is how I remember that scene coming to pass. We did our first shoot with Paris at Clare’s place (an apartment back then).
And Paris was talking about all of the circus tricks she could do – eat glass, take a bath in broken glass, light parts of her body on fire, put a screw driver in her nose, etc. So me being me, I suggested we incorporate some of those “tricks” into some of our scenes.
So we shot at these 2 goth girls super cool creepy house and we actually lit Paris’s ass on fire (again my suggestion) while one of the Goth girls spanked out the flames. Then of course continued spanking her.
Check it out and tell me it is not worthy of some sort of Oscar. Come on, ask yourself this – how many other scenes have you seen in which a girl has her butt lit on fire (FOR REAL NO TRICKS) and it gets spanked out? Maybe I’ll start working on a very short acceptance speech.

Sometimes I get comments on the blog saying how I have the perfect job. It’s close – working with hotties, surrounded by spanking fun, making money from all this. But there are the odd jobs that aren’t so great. Nena is a new model who went up recently on Spanked Call Girls.
My job was simple. Pick her up on the way to the shoot. So I arrive outside her apartment and call her to let her know I’m there. Only she doesn’t answer. I try texting “I’m here to pick you up.” Still no answer. So I call Clare to make sure I have the correct phone and address. I do.
Finally, I get a text from Nena that says “b right down.” So another 5 minutes go by and no Nena. So I call her again – get the voice mail. So I leave a message, if she is down, I don’t see her. I explain what I look like. More time goes by and now I leave a message that there is another model at the shoot and I need to be there so I must leave. Seconds later I get a call – she is on her way out. Soooo 3 or 4 minutes later, she actually walks up to my car. With some dude. Her boyfriend. Maybe she said fiance. He is coming along.
At this point I don’t want to go into our “no escort on set” policy, at risk of starting the shoot late. So they hop in the car and I drive away. So I call Clare and mention the guy is coming, so she says “great, then she got her own ride.” I explain, no, he is coming along for the ride. What kind of escort/driver doesn’t have a car??? So during the shoot, there are a couple of times this guy can be heard talking loudly on his cell phone, causing us to cut.
So at least I think he was the last straw and we will definitely no longer allow “escorts” (especially ones without cars) to hang out on our sets. Well at least Nena was a fantastic model who had never been spanked and gave shock and awe reactions as her bottom turned BRIGHT red during her scenes. See the photos above.
