I read a post from a female spanko on Fetlife recently in which she was complaining about how spanking videos looked unrealistic. She said she was young (and Mormon) and so I am assuming that she hadn’t seen very many spanking videos.
Of course I have filmed and viewed thousands, so speaking from experience, most spanking scenes shot for spanking sites are in fact real spankings. Just ask the model getting spanked if she thought it was real or not. Now I have viewed some scenes, the majority of these being on clips4sale, where it is a non-spanking site trying some spanking scenes.
They don’t know and/or care about how believeable the spanking is, so they get a couple of models who spank each other lightly. I suspect this is the sort of thing our Mormon friend stumbled onto. I would make a rough estimate that about 90% of the spanking scenes I have shot were what I would consider real spankings. Maybe they don’t always look hard, but the spankee is taking it as hard as she can and her reactions are real.
In the 10% of cases where I don’t consider the scene to be real, it comes from the spanker not being able to spank the other model as hard as she can take it. If a model is not being spanked as hard as she can (or at least in that ball park) then she is either not reacting, or faking her reactions. Bummer when this happens. But some ladies just can’t spank hard enough – either due to phsyical or mental limitations.
In the above photo, Veronica Ricci is using some cream to help keep her bottom from bruising too much. We shot her recently getting spanked by Clare Fonda and Missy Rhodes. Veronica is so sweet and gentle, she had to be taught by Clare how to spank hard enough.
There is a clip where she spanks Clare on Hot Girls Spanked. And the most recent clip has her spanking Missy Rhodes. Veronica is surprisingly strong, so it was her mental barrier that Clare had to break through. “It’s okay to spank me hard.” Glad to report that Vernica could deliver.

As a teenager, I had this idea that porn stars were somehow different than “normal” people. They probably never spoke to guys like me. If they did, they would sound different. Talk in some oddly strange sexual voice and only talk about sex. Maybe they walked differntly, only ate long, weird vegetables or bananas. I don’t know. I’m not really sure what I thought.
When I started shooting spanking scenes in the late 1990s, I was told by many spankos that you don’t use “porn” models for spanking shoots. They don’t mix. Well I have been shooting many adult models lately for spanking scenes, and I am here to tell you a “behind the curtain” revelation.
Porn stars are just normal people who talk about normal stuff. Where they like to buy clothes. Some guy they have been dating. What movies they like. They sound normal. Their laughs are normal. They can eat hamburgers and walk like everyone else.
Shay Golden, who was shot recently for Spanked Sweeties, is very much like the cute girl next door. She even has this shy giggle that you’d hear in some mainstream romantic comedy. No tatoos. Athletic build. If you sat next to her in an airport, you’d think “cute girl.” Without some cheesey bam chicka bawm bawm music playing, you’d never know she was an adult actress.
Part of the misconception, in my opinion, is seeing these girls on “porn” sites, with too much make up on, photos touched up so much that the features of their faces are lost and then all models look the same.
The great thing about the Sweeties site, is that when you hear someone like Shay interviewed, you get to hear how she is so earthy, sweet, funny. Maybe just like the cute girl who lives next store to you. Only this one is capable of taking a mega-hard spanking (see photos above – with facial features intact). So the advice I got so long ago about not shooting adult models for spanking scenes was bad. Porn stars often are fantastic for spanking shoots. Shay Golden is on par with any spanking model I have ever filmed.

A while back I blogged about the best Mother/Daughter spanking that I ever filmed or seen. It was with Snow Mercy as the mom and Missy Rhodes (formely known as Missy Gold) as the daughter.
In this series for Hot Girls Spanked (an exclusive content clips4sale site), Clare plays the aunt. She recently spanked Missy so hard that Missy cried actual tears. Now during the two scenes Missy shot with Snow, Missy did cry a little bit. But it was more of a sobbing sound, without actual tears. Missy has a low tolerance for spanking, and we thought that she took all she could take with Snow.
But in the Wet Bottom spanking scene Clare did with Missy, it went longer, and harder. Missy really likes Clare a lot, and I think she went beyond her limits as an honor Clare. As you can see from the above photos, Missy’s bottom got very red and marked. If you enjoy real maternal spankings, with tears, stern mother figures and lots of hard whacks to a cute red bottom, this is a can’t miss clip.
Clare spanks Missy over her wet bathing suit. Then she makes Missy strip it off and take 300 spanks, which she must count. Missy loses count in her 60s, and Clare makes her start over. Clare has been in many excellent scenes, but I have never seen her as stern as she was in this one.
At the risk of sounding like I am overselling this thing – if you only bought one spanking clip on Clips4sale, you should buy this full scene clip. I stuck my neck out a bit in pushing the Snow/Missy clips. And for the most part, the feedback I got was very favorable. One viewer didn’t think Missy was actually crying in those clips. As I say, she cries real tears in the swimsuit clip.
After we shot this scene, Missy and I went to dinner, then we went to see a mutual friend perform stand up comedy. Missy tried to downplay the pain she was in that night, but it was clear that it was difficult even for her to walk, as her bottom rubbed against the tight skirt she was wearing. She sat gingerly in our booth at dinner. She was grateful to have a booth.
But unfortunately for Missy, we had to sit on hard wooden chairs for the comedy show. She let out a slight yelp when she first sat on that wooden chair. About a week or so later, Missy confessed to me via email that her bottom was sore for a long time – at least a week.
I am a huge fan of Missy. She is prompt, professional, respectful, funny and very sweet – and she is SO young (over 18 I assure you). But she is also amazing in scenes. Believe me, this Swimsuit spanking was very real and a very powerful and satisfying scene.

Well I got to shoot and edit something a little different. A superheroine scene, starring Mary Jane and Alexis Grace, for Hot Girls Spanked. There is some spanking, but also plenty of cat fighting, belly bunching, struggling, and even one superheroine shooting another superheroine with a ray gun.
It took a long time to edit because I had to add a lot of sound effects and the ray for the ray gun. But it was fun. Silly, yes, but something different. And who couldn’t use a little variety from time to time?

A while back Clare Fonda had a shoot scheduled in the evening with a model from an agency. At the last minute, the agency called to say the model wasn’t going to make it and they offered up another model for the shoot. Samora Morgan.
Samora had never done a spanking shoot and really knew nothing about spanking. But she was game. So we shot her for some scenes. One of those scenes is now running on Girl Spanks Girl, in the Sensual section.
Clare had a specific shoot scenario in mind, but Samora was very low key, and couldn’t pull off that scenario. So Clare adapted Samora’s low energy into a new scene, which she made up on the spot, and had Samora play her lazy niece.
And while Samora’s pain tolerance was incredibly low, Clare tested Samora’s limits, so her reactions are very real in the scene. And you can see if you check out the scene, Samora’s bottom gets very red and speckled.
I have from time to time shot for other producers. Generally speanking, those producers will stick with their scenario and have the model play a role that she is not equipped to play. This is something Clare does well – adapting the scene to fit the model’s strenghts.

There has always been an age old debate about long hair vs. short hair. I have always had a strong opinion that 99.9% of the men who are into women prefer long hair. And the guys who say they like short hair are either
1. Trying to win over a girl with short hair or
2. Lying.
While shooting hundreds of spanking models, I have observed that the large percentage of them have longer hair (shoulder length or longer). Until recently, I have not shot someone with hair that is shorter than the shoulder that I have actually paid much attention to (perhaps I am biased or not rational).
But this changed when we shot Ash Hollywood, presently up on Spanked Sweeties. She is beautiful and her hair doesn’t quite reach her shoulders. So maybe I have to rethink my bias. Or maybe she is the exception to the rule. When she is over Clare Fonda’s knee, though, she still has bangs that flow down, but don’t cover her face, so maybe there is the illusion of long hair.

Interesting thing about the new episode running on the spanking soap opera site, My Spanking Roommate is that in the scene between Kay and her maid (played by Rosario Stone), the girls were instructed to use hand spankings on each other, and a wooden spoon, and then Kay was going to be punished by one final implement. Of her choosing.
Kay can take a pretty good spanking, but I wouldn’t say she is a super heavy player. So you might think she’d try to get away with something like “I want to be spanked with a feather” since she has a pretty hysterical sense of humor. But she went right to “I want to be spanked with a belt.”
I was wearing a thin belt, which I offered for the scene. But she selected one that she had, which was large with metal studs. Trust me, she felt tremendous pain from the belt spanking that Rosario delivered. After the scene finished shooting, the direct quote from Kay was “Fuck, why the fuck did I pick that fucking belt??!!”
Maybe the next scene we shoot with her should be a mouth soaping.

I have filmed a large number of mother/daughter spanking scenes over the years, many of which were outstanding. But the two I shot recently with Snow Mercy as the Mom and Missy Gold as the daughter were by far the best.
There were two scenes, set one day after the other. What made them so electric was the combination of realism, with solid spanking and amazing verbal skills. It just all came together.
I normally comment mostly about behind the scenes and what it is like to work with various models, but I just feel compelled to push anyone who enjoys a great mother/daughter spanking to check out these two scenes, now on Hot Girls Spanked. Missy is very young, and she looks even younger. She understands the dynamics of a great scene. And Snow rivals Clare Fonda as the classic MILF.
Snow and Missy are very believable as Mother and Daughter, and they include many of the classic elements such as “Mother turns to spanking as a last resort; daughter pleads that she is too old for a spanking; Mother overpowers her daughter and puts the struggling girl over her knee….” In my opinion, this one is an instant classic.

We shot with Penthouse Pet Veronica Ricci this week and I must say she instantly became one of my favorites. She is sweet, funny, kind and stunningly beautiful with a curvy bottom. She is now up on Girl Spanks Girl, and will debut on Spanked Sweeties this Monday.
She had never shot a spanking scene before, but was spanked growing up and she says she enjoys spanking and hopes to have more of it in her life. Her bottom turned SO RED from even the first spanking that Clare gave her, and she left the shoot very marked. But she said she was fine with that, she expected it, and will wear her marks with pride.
This is SO rare to hear from a model, especially one with as much success that Veronica has achieved. She was the runner up Penthouse Playmate of the Year for 2010, and has been featured on Howard Stern, has appeared in feature films, etc. I plan to blog some more about Veronica (you can follow her on twitter) later this week.

Okay I have blogged about the risks of spanking in hotels. But that is nothing compated to filming outside in the city, where not only can you be heard, but seen.
We did just that recently for a Clips4Sale scene when Clare Fonda spanked Alexis Grace in her front yard, for the entire neighborhood to see and hear. And if you have ever watched Alexis Grace in a scene, you know that she is LOOOOUUUUUDDDD. She is not a heavy player, but she will take what the spanker gives. And for her, it hurts. A lot. So she screams.
Clare bent her over her old, damaged car and gave her a sound spanking over the skirt, and pantyhose. Alexis screamed so loud that the neighborhood dogs started barking.
I actually was the one who suggested the car/insurance angle when Clare mentioned shooting outside, because I knew that Clare might have a few reservations about spanking someone hard outside. Realizing how upset she has been with how her insurance company has handled her claim, I thought that if Clare could channel some of that anger she has with the insurance agency, it would be a realisitc, and hard scene. And that is exactly what it was.
After the shoot, I gave Alexis a ride home. She was bruised and having trouble sitting and wondered why Clare spanked her harder this time than the last time we shot with her. When I told her about the insurance angle, she laughed. Lucky for us, Alexis has a great sense of humor. She was happy to deliver a realistic scene.
